Time to Go....
It has been a very interesting first couple of months here in 2009. So much going on, so much news to share. Unfortunately, most of the highlighted news reported has been "bad news." So much negative news is being "shared" that I hear more people, daily, finally say "I've had enough!" I am not watching the news anymore ! People are fearful, end up in tears, just watching the news or reading a newspaper. (online or print, doesn't matter
I respect our media, I truly do, but can't we focus on some "good news" for a change? We can't bury our heads in the sand, but we can shed some light and good news with each other more often. We all need it....so reach out and share some good news. With all the wonderful social media outlets these days, we should be able to make somebody smile !
"Time to go" is what we are hearing from our clients. Travel and cruise rates have never been so reasonable! For the larger group of the population still employed, people are trading the negative news for a vacation to escape! Vacations (yes, I have a slighted opinion here) are truly necessary in today's world. A wonderful cruise, a white sand beach, crystal blue waters, palm trees, music and great friends appears to be the growing choice today. People can just turn up their IPods and tune out the news for a week. Sounds great - maybe I should go
I'm glad the travel industry is doing their part to to uplift the spirits of people today. Tune out the world, tune into your own!
I wish you all a great vacation sometime soon.

Confused by online travel offers?
Let's face it! We are all on information overload. Who isn't these days? We have information coming at us in different ways. So how do you decipher through it all?
If you have ever tried to price shop a trip on the internet, you don't need me to tell you how confusing it can be. What is a good deal and are you getting one?
A good experienced travel agent can work with you to sort the details, assess the facts and decipher through the pros and cons of an offer.
If you would like us to assist you in evaluating and analyzing an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me at matt@justcruises.com.

Travel for Free?

Travel for free?
In this economy, sure sounds like a great idea, eh? Actually, it is not a difficult as you may think. If you have "got friends" - that "will travel" (or "can travel") it is as simple as being a coordinator for a social event.
Yes, there is work, but hey, why not for a free cruise? Just plan a group cruise. It's fun and fairly simple to do. Step 1 - Plan an itinerary with a pro (an experienced travel pro), pick a date, type of cabins, get the pricing and amenities list from the cruise line and voila we have the ingredients for a group cruise. Typically you will earn 1 free passenger (you) per 15 full paying passengers, based on 2 per cabin so it takes 8 cabins to earn your freebie Whew! However, there are many promotions that will allow 1 free per 5 cabins booked! Again, check with your travel pro, they will work with you and the cruise line to get the better deal. (try to flexible.)
Step 2 - Now the fun begins! (be sure to have fun with this!) There are numerous ways to promote it these days. Most of the major cruise lines actually have an industry software that will create a "flyer" or custom brochure for your group. Your travel pro can assist you with it.
Next, choose the medium which you feel is going to be most effective to promote your group - (be sure to have a catchy- fun group title) and remember to promote, promote, promote!
In today's technology world, it is even easier to get your message out via email, videomail, facebook, twitter, personal blog, user groups, webinars and many other forms of social media. Use them. In addition, "Old" techniques, such as meeting for coffee, having friends over to discuss, passing out and posting flyers at work or book store are still successful. All of this works and you can even combine this with a "Launch Party", a party where you can gather your group and show a DVD of the cruise. This adds a personal, yet effective touch and shares the excitement and details of your trip.
We always updating and working with new technology that will allow us to help you get your message out. If you have any questions or want to take advantage of this type of travel opportunity contact me at matt@justcruises.com
