Travel for free?
In this economy, sure sounds like a great idea, eh? Actually, it is not a difficult as you may think. If you have "got friends" - that "will travel" (or "can travel") it is as simple as being a coordinator for a social event.
Yes, there is work, but hey, why not for a free cruise? Just plan a group cruise. It's fun and fairly simple to do. Step 1 - Plan an itinerary with a pro (an experienced travel pro), pick a date, type of cabins, get the pricing and amenities list from the cruise line and voila we have the ingredients for a group cruise. Typically you will earn 1 free passenger (you) per 15 full paying passengers, based on 2 per cabin so it takes 8 cabins to earn your freebie Whew! However, there are many promotions that will allow 1 free per 5 cabins booked! Again, check with your travel pro, they will work with you and the cruise line to get the better deal. (try to flexible.)
Step 2 - Now the fun begins! (be sure to have fun with this!) There are numerous ways to promote it these days. Most of the major cruise lines actually have an industry software that will create a "flyer" or custom brochure for your group. Your travel pro can assist you with it.
Next, choose the medium which you feel is going to be most effective to promote your group - (be sure to have a catchy- fun group title) and remember to promote, promote, promote!
In today's technology world, it is even easier to get your message out via email, videomail, facebook, twitter, personal blog, user groups, webinars and many other forms of social media. Use them. In addition, "Old" techniques, such as meeting for coffee, having friends over to discuss, passing out and posting flyers at work or book store are still successful. All of this works and you can even combine this with a "Launch Party", a party where you can gather your group and show a DVD of the cruise. This adds a personal, yet effective touch and shares the excitement and details of your trip.
We always updating and working with new technology that will allow us to help you get your message out. If you have any questions or want to take advantage of this type of travel opportunity contact me at matt@justcruises.com
Bon Voyage!
